The Institute for Anthropological Research provided 26.4 million HRK of grants for the implementation of the “Center for applied biostatology” project. Corellia advisory experts, together with the scientists of the Institute, prepared all the necessary bidding documents (Pre-feasibility Study, Feasibility Study and Call for Proposals) on the basis of which the project was approved for funding.

The Grant Agreement was signed on May 28, 2018 at the Ministry of Science and Education as part of the Call for “Investments in Organizational Reform and Infrastructure in the Research, Development and Innovation Sector” funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

The project “Center for applied bioanthropology” addresses the problem of insufficient capacities for research, development and innovation by supplying research equipment to four new laboratories (the laboratory for molecular anthropology, the laboratory for bioarheology, the chemical analytical laboratory and the microbial ecology laboratory) in the existing Institution’s premises and organizational reform.

The Center will launch new scientific research projects, increase the number of scientific papers, enhance teaching activities, enable top-quality scientific research, ensure better linkage and networking of the Institute with international institutions, and ensure the competitiveness of the Institute for Anthropological Research at the European Research Area.
